Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Cuzco.

  • On arrival in Cuzco, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city and acclimatising to the altitude.

  • Enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of Cuzco and the surrounding Inca ruins.

  • Full day trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit the impressive ruins at Písac and Ollantaytambo as well as a colourful market. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

  • Take the train to Machu Picchu, where you will have a guided tour of the ancient Inca citadel.

  • Free day to explore Machu Picchu at your own pace. In the afternoon return to Cuzco by train.

  • Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Quito via Lima. Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel.

  • Enjoy a guided tour of Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Here you will be met by a representative of your boat who will take you to your awaiting vessel. The beautiful volcanic islet of Bartholome will be your first stop this afternoon.

  • Today you'll explore Genovesa Island, starting with a visit to Darwin Bay where you'll encounter endemic wildlife while learning about the history of discovery in the Galápagos. In the afternoon you will continue on to El Barranco where you'll take a short hike in an area with an abundance of birdlife.

  • Santiago Island is where you'll spend your day snorkelling at a handful of different sites, each with its own unique features and wildlife spotting opportunities.

  • A morning on North Seymour Island will allow for encounters with some of the most iconic animals on the Galápagos including Galápagos sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and magnificent frigatebirds. The landscapes will change once again this afternoon in the highlands of Santa Cruz where giant tortoises roam.

  • The final stop on your cruise is the Mosquera Inlet, a flat, sandy island with a large colony of sea lions. It's also an excellent site to observe shorebirds such as herons and lava gulls. Following this stop you will disembark the ship and take a flight back to the Ecuadorian mainland.
